CUARTETO CRISANTEMI

- CRISANTEMI QUARTET -

BIOGRAPHY

The „Crisantemi quartet“ owes its name to the same-titled oevre of Giacomo Puccini, which was the first play the quartet interpreted. The Crisantemi quartet is quite young and it consists of four students from the „Instituto superior de Arte“ (ISA); Danielle González Sánchez (violín I), José Luis Rubio Reyes (Violín II), Adriana Déborah Rodríguez Laza (viola), Adriel David Rodríguez Laza (violoncello-director).

They had their debut in 2016 at the Mozart Festival in Havanna in the San Felipe Neri Hall as well as in the José White Hall in Matanzas, Kuba.

The Crisantemi quartet was performing in Sol no. 62 of Joseph Haydn at the concert for early music which was conducted by Walter Reiter. The cuban talents were taught by several international teachers such as Walter Reiter, Michael Dabroski, Charles Wetherbee and Benjamin Schmid.

Also they were part of the XIII Edition of the festival of Chamber Music. Not only did the quartet give concerts at the festival, but also there was a musical exchange of experiences with the quartet from the Institute of Ravina from the USA. Furthermore they participated in the „musicalia competiton“ which was sponsored by the University of Arts (ISA) where the quartet won the price in the category of string formats.

The Crisantemi quartett was part of a festival which was sponsored by the Austin Music Chamber Center and performing at the Mozart festival in Vermont, USA.
